October 31 - A tour of Ohio’s Geological Walk Through Time at the Ohio State Fairgrounds, Natural Resources Park. The GeoWalk is a hands-on educational area dedicated to the geology of Ohio with emphasis on historical and modern economic resources. See the largest outdoor geologic map in the world, the geologic timeline, and the rocks representing each system. The Society contributed to the construction of the GeoWalk and it is amazing. You have to see it to believe it. Here is a link to the Educational Leaflet

Lunch starts at 11:30 AM, Lunch will be provided by the Society….repeat FREE lunch!

Tour at 12:30 PM; tour guides are Dale Gnidovec (OSU Orton Museum Curator) and Mac Swinford.

Where: Ohio State Fairgrounds – Natural Resources Park

Directions – Exit I-71 at 17th Avenue (exit 111), turn west on 17th Ave towards fairgrounds and travel about ¼ mile to main fairground entrance, turn left or south into fairgrounds (If ticket booth is attended say you are going to the ODNR area). Proceed straight south through the large parking lot till it ends. The ODNR park area will be to the left.
